Exo Terra’s Waterfall Creates Serenity and Beauty in Terrariums and Provides Drinking Source for Reptiles and Amphibians

MANSFIELD, Mass. – Most herp owners like to create an environment as close to their pets’ natural habitats as possible, and sometimes that includes an active water source, especially for reptiles and amphibians for whom the rainforest is their ancestral home.  The Exo Terra Waterfall provides that constantly moving source of water, which not only reminds reptiles and amphibians of life in the wild, but may also entice the terrarium’s inhabitants to drink more water.

The natural rock-like appearance of the Waterfall adds organic beauty and visual interest to the terrarium, resembling a scaled-down version of similar waterfalls that are found in rainforests throughout the world.  The neutral color of the Waterfall blends with any terrarium décor and because of its unique design, it can be installed anywhere in the terrarium, for maximum versatility.  In addition to providing a drinking water source, the gently trickling water stream can be very relaxing for reptile owners, too.

As attractive as it is, the Waterfall was also designed for functionality.  The Waterfall is made of a hard, non-porous and non-toxic food-grade resin which helps prevent the development of harmful bacteria to keep water safe for drinking, and its multi-part construction makes it easy to clean.  The rough interior walls of the collection tank make it easy for curious reptiles and amphibians who decide to explore the inside of the Waterfall to climb out and prevent accidental drownings.  As an added safety measure for small animals, like small chameleons and frogs, small stones or gravel may be added to the collection tank.

The Exo Terra Waterfall is also an easy way to add moisture and humidity to the terrarium, which is especially beneficial for reptiles and amphibians such as chameleons, water agamas, anoles and frogs.  The unit comes with an Exo Terra Repti Flo pump, which provides constant water circulation to oxygenate the water and make it healthier for reptiles and amphibians.  An Exo Terra Fogger can be added to the medium and large Waterfalls to supply additional humidity and to simulate the natural low-level fog found in some rainforests.

Available in three sizes – Small, 6.6″ x 9″ x 7.4″ (17 x 23 x 19 cm); Medium, 8.2″ x 10.6″ x 9″ (21 x 27 x 23 cm); and Large 11.4″ x 11.4″ x 11.8″ (29 x 29 x 30 cm) – there is an Exo Terra Waterfall ideal for just about any size terrarium or habitat.  MSRP is approximately $49.99 to $89.99 at pet retailers nationwide.
