Cardinal Pet Care’s Redesigned Packaging for Omega Treats is Part of a New Brand Strategy for Pet Botanics Branded Products

The new packaging for Pet Botanics Omega Treats is in line with that of its newest product, Healthy Omega Gourmet Dog Food

AZUSA, Calif. When pet parents go to the store to pick up a package of healthy and all-natural Pet Botanics Omega Treats, they may notice something different.  The familiar resealable foil pouch with a green-background will now be color-coordinated with the newest addition to the Pet Botanics product line, Healthy Omega Gourmet Dog Food.  But pet parents need not worry – the delicious and wholesome Omega Treats haven’t changed; they’re the same great formula they’ve always been.

In order to present a consistent brand message, Cardinal Pet Care has redesigned the packaging for its famous sushi-like Omega Treats to be more in line with the packaging for Healthy Omega Gourmet Dog Food in style, colors and graphics.  While the new package design will help build brand identity for the Pet Botanics name, the Omega Treats themselves remain the same healthy, all-natural, grain-free and low-calorie treats that pet owners can feel good about giving to their dogs.

Since their introduction, Pet Botanics Omega Treats have been a hit with dog owners because of their simple, human-grade ingredient formula and great taste that dogs find irresistible.  Made with real meat, poultry, fish and sweet potato, Omega Treats are a layered sushi-like dog treat loaded with Omega 3 and 6 fatty acids and vitamin E that contribute to healthy cardiovascular and immune systems, as well as a glossy coat.  At just nine calories per treat, Omega Treats are a smart way to give your dog a truly guilt-free snack.  Just like the old packaging, the new Omega Treats pouch is still resealable, so all of that delectable meaty goodness stays fresh.

Switching to solar power in 2009 and going completely off the grid has given Cardinal the opportunity to manufacture products that leave no carbon footprint behind.  The 60-year-old company replaced a variety of power-drawing fixtures with energy-efficient alternatives.  It also replaced the building’s skylights with prismatic units, added sensors that turn off lights when an area is vacated, and installed a “white roof” with 320 American-made solar panels covering 5,440 square feet of roof space.  These changes have reduced the energy load so significantly that Cardinal was able to install air conditioning in the factory and actually gives power back to the city ofAzusa.

Pet Botanics Omega Treats come in 6-ounce or 14-ounce resealable foil pouches and are available in three flavors – Salmon, Chicken and Duck.  For more information, contact Cardinal Laboratories at 800-433-7387 or visit www.cardinalpet.com
