Hagen’s Fluval SEA Sump Pumps Combine Optimal Water Flow With Energy Saving Technology

MANSFIELD, Mass. – The Rolf C. Hagen (USA) Corp. has introduced an exciting addition to its acclaimed Fluval line. The company’s new energy efficient Fluval SEA Sump Pumps offer a variety of benefits to aquarium hobbyists. Although they operate at a very low noise level, the magnetically driven pumps also have a powerful flow rate and head-height delivery; both of which contribute to enhanced water quality and healthier fish.
Ruggedly built and certified for marine use, Fluval SEA Sump Pumps are available in three models:

  • SP2: 1,000 US Gallon (3,770 Liter) per hour maximum flow rate, 6.2 feet (1.9 meters) head height, 55 Watts power.
  • SP4: 1,900 US Gallon (7,200 Liter) per hour maximum flow rate, 11.2 feet (3.5 meters) head height, 98 Watts.
  • SP6: 3,570 US Gallon (12,000 Liter) per hour maximum flow rate, 12.1 feet (3.7 meters) head height, 145 Watts.

The SP4 and SP6 models feature Fluval’s Smart Pump Technology, which employs integrated circuit boards to monitor their RPMs on a continuous basis to achieve optimal results. These two models also feature a unique thermal switch that will shut a pump down temporarily during abnormal situations such as a blocked impeller.
Fluval SEA Sump Pumps can be plumbed in or out of a sump, and work in submersible or dry settings. They are ideally suited for marine, reef or freshwater use. The pumps also work at relatively cool temperatures, making it easier to maintain optimal temperatures inside a tank.
Aquarium hobbyists can expect a reliable performance from Fluval SEA Sump Pumps for a long period, thanks in large measure to their wear-resistant impeller shafts and bearings. Made of durable Alumina Ceramic, the impeller shafts and bearings were designed to deliver an extended dependable performance and avoid calcium build-up. This reduces the likelihood of maintenance issues and ensures a longer pump life.
