Pet Botanics Thanks Facebook Friends By Donating 10,000 Lbs. Of Dog Food To Rescues

July 22, 2014

Pet Botanics New LogoLOS ANGELES – (For Immediate Release) – 10,000 lbs. of Pet Botanics Grain-Free dog food was recently donated to California animal rescue groups — thanks to an unexpected surge of support from Pet Botanics Facebook fans!

The company originally offered to donate one pound of food for every New Pet Botanics Facebook fan or Instagram follower during the month of June. When the response far exceeded its expectations, with more than 1000 new followers coming on board, Cardinal increased the donation amount by nearly 10 times as a thank-you to its fans!

“The incredible social media outpouring really inspired us,” said Cardinal President and CEO Tony de Vos. “We work hard to reach out to pet owners and keep them engaged through social media. When our donation offer was posted, we not only drew in over 1000 new Facebook and Instagram followers – we also received over 500 shares and 2000 likes which helped our Facebook message go viral.

“This overwhelming response made us re-think the amount of our donation,” added de Vos. “Cardinal has always been committed to supporting shelters, and donating 10,000 lbs. of food is a great way to help homeless animals and thank our social media friends.”

The effort to support animal rescues is in keeping with Cardinal Pet Care’s motto: “Devoted to Pets, People and the Planet”. The company’s Pet Botanics line is an example of this philosophy, offering a full selection of food, treats and training rewards that put canine health first, while at the same time being highly delectable to dogs. Pet Botanics Grain-Free food is made real meat or fish as the #1 ingredient, along with and essential vitamins and minerals.
